According to the new Speedtest Global Index rating, Cyprus has risen by 21 lines in the mobile Internet speed rating over the past month. Now mobile Internet in Cyprus is the 35th fastest in the world.
Speedtest Global Index is a new rating of the Speedtest service that checks the speed of Internet connection. To form a rating, data is collected from millions of devices.
Norway is the leader in the global ranking of mobile Internet speed (52.59 Mbit/s). It is followed by the Netherlands (46.94), Hungary (46.24), Singapore (45.99) and Malta (44.84 Mbps).
Iraq (3.03 Mbit/s), Costa Rica (3.79) and Bangladesh (5.17) complete the list.
Cyprus is on the 35th line of the rating with an average mobile Internet speed of 26.98 Mbit/s. Russia is on the 72nd with 15.60 Mbit/s. Cyprus ranks 77th in terms of wired Internet speed (15.94 Mbit/s). Russia is on the 40th (34.02).
